Today, Lil’ Liza Lou donated its 20th kimono!
If you would like to leave a note for PINK Program families: an encouragement, prayer, poem, etc, please feel free to do so on Lil’ Liza Lou’s PINK Program tab (at the top of the page).
I love making the kimonos. I am looking forward to making three more this week, and starting on the gowns. I feel blessed to be able to give the families the kimonos and know that they are so appreciated.
When I went to drop of Owen and Jacob’s kimonos tonight, I found out that Braden’s parents LOVED his. It was giraffe print, with brown trim… (one of my favorite fabrics for a boy)… Coming to the NICU is always a scary situation, and it just gives the families something cheerful, unexpected, and personalized for their child. Here’s a note I got in my email this week. 🙂
Here’s a note from one of the families to receive a kimono:
“Ms. Griffin, my name is Deanna* the mother of Miles*. I just wanted to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for the kimono that you made for him. It really touched my heart that you took an interest in my lil miracle Miles. He is truly a remarkable boy and just keeps fighting and slowly gaining weight. He is finally 2 lbs and 2 oz (we still have more to gain 🙂 beginning at 1 lbs 3 oz. You are so right….in that miracles do happen with the help of the man upstairs but also from persons like you who express their sincere generosity for others. Thanks again for all that you do for families such as mine 🙂 you are truly a blessing and a miracle!!! Thanks again.”
—Side note: I got to see Miles today. 🙂 He is so cute. Getting bigger.
